MESSAGE FROM

Mqondisi Moyo

For generations, the people of Mthwakazi have endured systemic oppression, marginalization, and cultural erasure under Zimbabwe’s rule. The time has come for us to reclaim our identity, our dignity, and our future. The Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP) stands firm in its commitment to self-determination, justice, and the restoration of our sovereignty. We reject the false narratives that label our struggle as tribalism—our fight is one of survival, justice, and the right to govern ourselves. Now, more than ever, we call upon all Mthwakazi sons and daughters to rise, unite, and lay the foundation for future generations. The sacrifices of today will shape the freedom of tomorrow..

Since its inception, the MRP has united locals in pursuit of a political representation that honors their heritage and aspirations.

Zimbabwe has failed Mthwakazi.

It’s high time Mthwakazi self-governed herself

Fighting for self-determination is not tribalism.
Fighting for your children to be taught by teachers who understand their language and culture is not tribalism.
Fighting for justice in one’s lifetime is not tribalism.
Defending your territory is not tribalism.
Defending your resources is not tribalism.

Let’s build a foundation for our children

I call upon all Mthwakazi sons and daughters to rise and fight for the justice of the current and future generations

So they don’t find it normal to be second-class citizens.
So they don’t find it normal to live in foreign lands against their will.
So they don’t find it normal to be taught by Shona teachers.
So they don’t spit on our graves, saying these are the graves of the generation that failed us.

MRP SECRETARY GENERAL

VELILE MOYO

“The struggle for Mthwakazi’s freedom is not about division; it is about justice, dignity, and self-governance. We will not remain silent while our people continue to suffer under a system that denies them their rights, history, and future. MRP stands firm in its mission to restore Mthwakazi’s sovereignty.”

FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER

ALPHOUS FUYANA

“The world must recognize the plight of Mthwakazi. For decades, our people have been forced into exile, denied opportunities in their own land, and treated as second-class citizens. We call upon the international community to stand with us as we fight for justice, self-determination, and the restoration of our sovereignty.”
